Linda H 9 août via Tripadvisor We had an unforgettable stay in Les Vendangeurs - the most charming and sympathetically restored country cottage set in the stunning countryside surrounding Bordeaux. The cottage is equipped with everything one could wish for and and our hosts were very welcoming and extremely warm people. Maureen and Jon are a fount of local knowledge and, even better,. Maureen's cuisine is of Michelin star standard - just try her foie gras! As if this wasn't enough, we enjoyed glorious Bordeaux wine from Jon's extensive cellar. We loved just relaxing and gazing out over the the beautiful gardens outside our front door.. We'll be back! jonesblmm 10 juillet via Tripadvisor Beau Sejour had been recommended to us by friends and we were not disappointed. Maureen was so helpful and patient as we arrived late due to getting lost and taking the "scenic route". She warmly welcomed us and had a glass of wine waiting for each of us. We stayed in the cottage attached to the main house. It was perfect for sharing with another couple that we were traveling with and gave us access to our private yard. We were able to enjoy star gazing from the back yard each night and then awaken to a lovely breakfast. The dinner that Maureen made was fabulous! I wish I had more right now of her "more-ish" appetizer. We enjoyed seeing all the vineyards and towns around the area, but the highlight was definitely getting back to our little hideaway at Beau Sejour. DublinBanjoMan  30 mai via Tripadvisor We have rented the Beau-Sejour gité from Maureen and Jon for 10-14 days for three years. Its difficult to express our experiences without sounding like an advertisement. Its perfectly located for just about anything you care to do in France and the attention to the smallest detail by Maureen and Jon made our stays so enjoyable. The gite is well laid out will all mod cons and a great kitchen, although Maureen's cooking is to die for, so if you have the opportunity, book dinner with them one night.   Situated in the heart of Entre-Deux-Mers and very close to St. Emilion, we find the gite perfectly situated for our yearly wine buying. The supermarket is close by in Branne and there is a coffe-shop/bar/bakery/luncheonette within walking distance. Be sure to ask Marie-Jo at the shop, in English and with a wink, "Have you any bread, Madame?" You will be at home at this gite and in Naujan-et-Postiac.   08/11/2009  Annette via email We had a really lovely time at Beau Sejour and hope to be able to return next year. The next visit however will be at a much slower pace, with far more relaxation time. We went to Talmont St Hilaire, and I must agree with you that it is a magical, unspoilt, very peaceful place. I hope that you continue to have lots of bookings in the period ahead. Thanks again for all your kindness, help, advice, guidance and good counsel to us during our recent visit to your wonderful B&B and gite. Wishing you good health, happiness and continued success. Accueil chaleureux et attentionné des hôtes. Cela mérite le détour. Shubra et Ankur Février 2009 via Likhom The Vendangeurs gite (cottage) was really great! It met all our expectations - it was big, bright, and very clean with a beautiful, fully-equipped kitchen.. We took our 3 year old German Shepherd with us and she had a blast in their enormous backyard along with both my boys!!!  There was no sound of any traffic even though this is conveniently close to the road and the best landmark for the cottage was an old picturesque church. Their property sits right behind it.. Their gite is in a quite village not too far from St.. Emillion and other well-known wineries. Jon & Maureen were extremely helpful and hospitable - much more than I could have imagined. On the first night itself when they saw us eating dinner without any wine, Jon immediately went home and got a very nice one for us. I would definitely have paid more for their place after my experience.
